This Life In The UK 2016 study guide is designed by Bruce Greig, an Oxford University psychologist and software designer. The app uses a learning technique called ‘spaced repetition’, which is used by memory experts to learn large amounts of information quickly.

Everything in the official Life in the UK 2016 handbook has been summarised into 400 flashcards. Each flashcard has a question and a short answer.

The app displays a flashcard on the screen (e.g. “Who was Richard Arkwright?”) and you try and recall the answer. You then tell the app how easy or difficult you found it to recall that fact.
